Aiko, Kiki and Aisha - January 2011

Our 3 gorgeous cheetahs Aiko, Kiki and Aisha are as sociable as ever and now receive daily visits from lodge guests, accompanied by tour guide and "Cheetah Man" Dave!

Dave has also started to take volunteers out for walks with Kiki through the savannah. The last walk with Kiki was rather entertaining as the group had the unique opportunity to see a cheetah hunt!

The wild cat saw a hartebeast a few kilometers away and using all her speed, she ran after it and brought it down! It was an incredible experience to watch and to see this cat's wild side in action. Unfortunately she was unable to finish off the kill and so Hardus and the workers put the animal at peace.

But guests and volunteers can also enjoy the softer side to the animals when they spend time with all 3 of the cheetahs, stroking and tickling the cats as the purr loudly.
